The new process was designed to provide an integrated planning and execution solution which would
greatly improve data accuracy for reporting and analysis. This was fundamental to operations for data
accuracy would better provide Dixons with Store and Merchandise performance reports for analysis and
improve decision making.
The integrated solution would reduce effort, time and costs to analyze, plan and execute Merchandise Plan
for Dixons retail. Teams that were dedicated to gathering data from disparate systems and processes,
cleansing and manipulating data in the past would not be needed thereby reducing costs and improving data
accuracy. Planning Teams personnel would be reduce with usage of a best practice planning process and
tools. Improved Merchandise reports would reduce clearance items, waste, theft and out of stock situations.
